Fees
All Fees Are Due And Payable At The Time of Transaction
Use fee:
- These are the actual fees for using a site.
Non Refundable reservation fee:
- There is a six ($6) dollar non refundable reservation fee associated with each piece of inventory reserved. For example 1 picnic site = $6.00 reservation fee or 2 campsites = $12.00 reservation fee.
Cancellation Fee:
There is a thirteen ($13) dollar cancellation fee assessed for each cancellation. This fee along with the non- refundable reservation fee creates a nineteen ($19.00) penalty that is withheld from any refund due to you.
- All cancellations for DAY USE PICNIC areas must be received more than 7 business days PRIOR to your event start date. All cancellations for OVERNIGHT CAMP SITES must be received more than 4 business days PRIOR to arrival date. You may call the reservation office at (408) 355-2201, fax (408) 355-2290 or mail to SCC Parks and Recreation, 298 Garden Hill Drive, Los Gatos, CA 95032.
- The reservations office is not responsible for the timeliness of the US Mail and any fax should be followed with a phone call to assure it was received.
- If your request for day use picnic area cancellation is not received 7 business days or more prior to your event start date or your request for camping cancellation is not received more than 4 business days prior to your arrival date you will forfeit all fees.
Change Fee:
- There is a thirteen ($13) dollar transfer fee associated with any change to a reservation. This would include:
- Changing the date of the reservation
- Changing or adding to the arrival or departure date
- Changing the site of the reservation.
- There would also be an additional six ($6) dollar non-refundable reservation fee associated with changing to a new site as a new piece of inventory would be selected. If you transfer to a new day use site less than 7 business days prior or to a new camp site less than 4 business days prior to your original event date you will be subject to all cancellation penalty charges as listed above for the first site wherein you forfeit all of your fees for the first site.
There is a $6.00 vehicle entry fee collected at most parks. Please confirm with a Reservation Office Clerk if a vehicle entry fee is collected at the park you wish to visit.
Addendums - Day Use Picnic Sites
If you have any special requests or activities planned including but not limited to i.e. jumphouse, dunk tank, amplified sound (where allowed), use of generator, prepaid vehicle entry tickets; you will need to contact the Reservation Office at (408)355-2201. Reservations Agents will provide Addendum Applications, a list of Approved Vendors and Rules for Interactive Amusement Devices and accept payments for prepaid entries, etc.
- Each customer may reserve a MAXIMUM of 2 day use sites for any date/s. Check with the Reservations' Office, as not all sites are able to be reserved together.
- One interactive device per reserved area.
All requests and applications must be initiated, completed and submitted to the Reservations' Office as soon as possible (NO LESS THAN 7 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT) for approval. Approved or not, the Addendum Application will be returned to you by mail. You must bring the approved addendum to the park on the day of your event.
THERE IS A STRICT NO EXCEPTIONS POLICY FOR RETURNING ALL PAPERWORK ON TIME (i.e. pre-paid entry tickets).
IF THE APPLICATION IS NOT RECEIVED 7 DAYS OR MORE PRIOR TO THE EVENT DATE IT WILL BE DENIED.

Weddings in the Park
Congratulations! We Know your wedding day is one of the most memorable days of your life. As such the SCC Parks department gives every wedding and reception special attention! Each Wedding includes special amenities that are not available with a regular group reservation. Due to the additional amenities provided for all Weddings and Receptions there is a nominal fee of $100.00 in addition to the site use fees. We want your special day to be perfect! To ensure that everything runs smoothly, please call the reservations office at (408) 355-2201 to make your reservation.
Please Note: Weddings and Receptions at the Sequoia/Peterson Grove in Sanborn Park may be subject to music restrictions from the second week in August through the third week in September. Amplified music will have to be discontinued at 6:30 pm to accommodate performances by the Shady Shakespeare Theatre Company on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings at the adjacent Outdoor Stage. Please contact the Park Use Coordinator (408-355-2220) if you have any questions.
Additional Rules and Guidelines
- ALL Campers must check in at entrance station upon arrival.
- Every site comes with a picnic table and BBQ pit or fire ring. Many sites have food lockers.
- A water faucet is located between every 3-5 sites.
- Coyote Lake, Joseph D. Grant, Mt Madonna, and Sanborn parks have the only campgrounds with shower facilities. Some of these facilities need coins to operate.
- Parks are open from 8:00 am to sunset. The entrance gates at Grant, Sanborn and Uvas Canyon County Parks are locked at sunset. If you are camping, you must arrive before sunset. At Uvas Canyon Park, you may leave the park after sunset, however arrival and/or re-entry into the park is not possible. At Grant and Sanborn you may be able to make arrangements to enter after sunset by calling the park prior to your arrival date. Parks are closed to non campers from sunset to 8:00 am.
- Late arrivals at Coyote Lake and Mt. Madonna need to arrive before 10:00 pm (the start of quiet hours)
Your cooperation is requested by observing the following rules:
- Each individual campsite is limited to no more than eight (8) people, six (6) for walk in sites at Sanborn.
- There is a two campsite maximum per person/household in all campgrounds.
- No charge for pets - you may have a maximum of 2 pets per single family campsite
- No charge for second vehicle - 2 vehicle entry fees are included in the single family campsite fee.
- Family group campsite fees at Mt. Madonna and Coyote Lake include a minimum number of vehicles. Each additional vehicle, up to site limit is $18.00 per vehicle/per night, payable to park staff. Manzanita family group campsite includes 12 cars for $216.00 per night and you must pay nightly for additional vehicles up to 30 total. Huckleberry family group campsite includes 10 vehicles for $180.00 per night and you must pay nightly for additional vehicles up to 15 total. The Group site at Coyote includes 8 vehicles for $144.00 per night and you must pay nightly for additional vehicles up to 10 cars.
- Limit of stay is no more than 14 days in any 45 day period with a maximum of 14 days between Memorial Day to Labor Day.
- Use fees are payable at time of reservation
- Earliest check in is 3:00 pm and latest Check-out is 1:00 pm daily.
- Dogs are allowed in all campgrounds. Dogs must be confined to tents at night. Dogs must be on a 6 ft. leash at all times.
- Parks are closed to non campers from sunset to 8:00 am
- No Fires are permitted on the ground. Fires in BBQ pits must be kept beneath the grate. Wood fires may be prohibited during fire season and during high fire conditions (Red Flag Day). Observe posted fire conditions. Campfires must be contained in the provided fire rings and kept beneath the grate. Campfires must be attended at all times and campfires must be extinguished when not attended. Please read all posted signs upon check in.
- Gathering of wood is not allowed. Wood bundles for fires may be available. If available, wood may be purchased from the staff at the Ranger station or Entry Kiosk. ($7.00/bundle)
- Radios, playing of instruments and other loud noises are not permitted during quiet hours (10:00 pm to 7:00 am)
- Children under eighteen (18) years of age are not permitted to camp overnight unless accompanied by a responsible adult.
- Tent camping at Sanborn Park is for the walk-in area only. No tents are allowed in the RV area.
- RV's are permitted at Mt. Madonna, Uvas Canyon, Coyote Lake, Grant and Sanborn Parks. Vehicle length restrictions apply, please inquire.
- RV sites with hook-ups (water & electric) are available at Coyote Lake, Mt. Madonna and Sanborn parks. Dump stations are included in RV site fee.
- Swimming is not allowed in any Santa Clara County park.

Youth Overnight Camps
Thank you for your interest in using Santa Clara County Parks for your organization's Overnight Camp outing. Youth Group Organizations must meet the following conditions to qualify for designated youth group site fees and areas.
- Be a non-profit group with verified tax-exempt status
- Organization membership is comprised solely of minors (person under 18 years of age)
- Have a ratio of 1 adult (21 years or older) to every 10 minors, and a maximum of 50% adults and 50% minors.
If these conditions apply to your group, please send a copy of your organization''s Mission Statement and/or a State non-profit tax-exempt status number.
All reservations are tentative and are subject to cancellation until this information is received. Reservation will be cancelled 2 weeks from date the reservation is made and/or no less than 2 weeks prior to event date if documentation is not received.
Reservations for Overnight Camp areas can be made by calling the reservation office at (408) 355-2201 and can be made 6 months to the day in advance of event date.
The current fee for a Youth Overnight Camp is $50.00 a night with a stay up to a maximum of 14 consecutive nights. Each camp-site requires a separate reservation. It is your responsibility to ensure that at no time do you exceed the site capacity of any Youth Group Site you have reserved. The Ranger Staff may require you to close your camp if site capacities are exceeded and no refund will be issued.

If a youth group wants to reserve Huckleberry or Manzanita at Mt Madonna Park:
They must pay full rates Friday and Saturday nights
They can get a 50% youth discount Sunday through Thursday nights
Please Note: The entrance gates at Grant, Sanborn and Uvas Canyon County Parks are locked at sunset. You may leave the park after sunset, however re-entry may not be possible without making special arrangements with the park rangers on duty.

Fees
The current fee for a Youth Day Camp is $60.00 a day for up to a maximum of 10 consecutive weekdays for each program (weekends and holidays not included). Each camp program requires a separate reservation. It is your responsibility to ensure that at no time do you exceed the site capacity of any Youth Group Site you have reserved. The Ranger Staff may require you to close your camp if site capacities are exceeded and no refund will be issued
Drop-off and Pick-up Procedures
All persons dropping-off and picking-up Day Camp participants need to display Parks Department vehicle entrance exempt pass. You will find a reproducible template in your packet. Fill in the Park and dates for Day Camp and copy as needed(we suggest a bright colored paper). This pass will allow the person to enter and leave the park for the purpose of pick-up and drop-off only. Any vehicle left unattended for more than 30 minute will be cited. It is your responsibility to provide completed copies of this pass and inform the participant's drop-off and pick-up person of the limitations of the pass.
Youth Day Camp Designated Reservable Areas:
You must use a designated site to receive the special fees. If all of the designated Youth Group Sites are booked and you still want to be in the park you may book a non-youth site for full price each day.
