Almaden Quicksilver County Park

  • Occasional and brief trail closures may be posted at trailheads for the following trails as we install irrigation mains on the downslope edge of Mine Hill Trail and perform other finishing work related to the calcine remediation project: Wood Rd Trail, Kitty Monahan Trail (formerly Yellow Kid Trail), Castillero Trail, Hidalgo Cemetery Trail, and Mine Hill Trail. Your understanding and cooperation during these intermittent closures are greatly appreciated.

Alviso Marina County Park

  • Levee closures are in effect until construction activities are completed. Closures include parts of the Alviso Slough Trail and sections of the Mallard Slough Trail at Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge.  Construction is scheduled to be completed by summer 2025.   • During severe storms and high tides, the launch ramp may be closed; do not use it if it’s closed.

Anderson Lake County Park

  • Anderson Lake, Woodchoppers, and Toyon Picnic Area are closed due to dam construction until approximately 2030.

Calero County Park

  • The Serpentine Loop Trail at Calero County Park is closed to equestrians due to wet trail conditions.
  • The Rancho San Vicente Entrance will partially close on 5/7/24 for parking lot restriping. Any entrance closure will be temporary and there will be onsite traffic control.

Coyote Creek / Parkway Lakes / Ogier Ponds / Guadalupe River (South of the Reservoir)​

Ed R. Levin County Park

  • The Azores Trail and the Los Coches Ridge Trail (between Junctions #53 and #68) are closed to equestrians due to wet conditions. 

  • The hang glider road (Monument Peak Road) is closed. No vehicular traffic is permitted. All others should exercise extreme caution if using the road and plan alternate trail routes.

    • The 1750’, 600’ hang glider launch points are closed to vehicular traffic.

    • The 300’ hang glider launch point is open.

  • The youth campground is open.

  • A section of the Spring Valley Trail is closed indefinitely due to a slide.

  • Sandy Wool Lake was stocked by the Department of Fish and Wildlife on 4/19/24 with 650lbs of trout.

Los Gatos Creek County Park

  • There is a partial closure of the Los Gatos Creek Trail due to unsafe conditions. A short detour is available for the 100’ section of trail that is closed. 

Martial Cottle Park

  • The trail under Highway 85 is subject to occasional flooding; do not enter if flooded.

Mt. Madonna

  • Loop Trail is closed between Mt. Madonna Rd and Junction 24 until final trail work can be completed following a slide repair.
  • Redwood trail between junctions 69 & 70 is permanently CLOSED/decommissioned due to the slide. A new section of Redwood Trail is now OPEN between Junction 70 and Rock Springs Trail (junction 68).  
  • The dirt section of Mt Madonna Road between Pole Line rd and Redwood Retreat is closed due to a slide. 
  • Inspiration Point Area, all trails are closed due to the Mt Madonna Fuel Reduction Project, including Blue Springs Trail between junctions 49 and 52, Redwood Trail west of Junction 61, Bayview Trail between junctions 61 and 63, and Sprig Trail between junctions 71 and 62.

Penitencia Creek

  • Upper Penitencia Creek is closed year-round to fishing.
  • The trail under Highway 680 may become flooded; do not enter if flooded.

Sanborn County Park

  • Summit Rock is closed daily through August 30, 2024, for Peregrine Falcon nesting season.

  • Sections throughout Sanborn County Park will be closed in rotation through the summer of 2024 for crucial fuel reduction projects for the Los Gatos Watershed Collaborative Forest Health Plan.  The John Nicholas Trail will be closed on Monday, May 13- Wednesday, May 15 from Black Road to Lake Ranch Reservoir for a hazard tree removal project.   • Restricted Parking on Black Road (Map): To improve traffic flow for area residents and visitors at Sanborn County Park, the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted resolutions restricting parking on Black Road. Press Release  

Santa Teresa County Park

  • The restrooms and water fountain are currently out of order at the Bernal-Gulnac Joice Ranch Entrance. Portable toilets and sink are available for use. There is no potable water available.

Stevens Creek County Park

  • Rim Trail below the dam may become impassable when water overflows via the spillway. Do not proceed if conditions are unsafe and the trail is flooded. 

Uvas Canyon County Park

  • The bridge on the single-track section of the Waterfall Loop has been closed due to safety concerns. To bypass it, use the adjacent fire road. Review the map for details.

  • Uvas Creek Trail is closed due to safety concerns.

  • Reservations must be made before entering Uvas Canyon. They are required seven (7) days a week, including weekends and holidays. 

Confirmation of your reservation must be printed and placed on your dashboard when parked inside Uvas Canyon County Park. Visit gooutsideandplay.org to make your reservation.

Vasona Lake County Park

  • May 18, 2024 (Saturday): Half-day closure to vehicle traffic (until 11am) for "Girls on the Run."  Expect limited public parking after the event concludes. 

 Villa Montalvo

 Full or Partial Park Closures: 

  • May 12, 2024 (Sunday) - Full-day closure for Mother's Day Brunch
  • May 18th (Saturday) - Full-day closure for Art Splash
  • July 19, 2024 (Friday) - Full-day closure for AOG Marcus Festival
  • September 8, 2024 (Sunday) - Full-day closure for FOOD & WINE
  • September 22, 2024 (Sunday) - Full-day closure for LatinX Festival
